All About Labs is a non-profit rescue group devoted to caring for dogs in need and placing them in loving, responsible homes. Though our main focus is Labrador Retrievers and Lab mixes, we won't turn down a dog in need when space and funds allow. Don't be surprised to see the occasional Beagle, Shepherd, or Shar-pei on our site!
The Against Malaria Foundation Nicholas Kristof of the New York Times tells the story of a grandmother in Africa caring for 7 children whose mother had just died of Malaria. Every night she has to choose which of the children can sleep under the one net they have to protect them from getting bit by the mosquitos carrying Malaria. The Foundation reports that mosquitos attack the heaviest between 9pm-1am at night. A net only cost $4.00. Please think about this.

Be “Kind” to a Student in Malawi Every night Laurence O’Donnell of MSNBC takes us to Malawi to see children laugh, clap, and jump up and down as they receive brand new desks and benches. These are children that went to school everyday and sat on dirt floors with their pencils and papers working hard to educate themselves. Not only does our donations go to the desks and benches, but the mission employs men from the surrounding villages that are taught construction to make the desks and benches and then truck them to the schools. Total community involvement. If this doesn’t make you smile we don’t know what will.
Remote Area Medical How pertinent this organization is when our own Medical Care is being threatened. This is an aid group that goes to remote areas in the USA to provide medical care for people who have no health or dental care…none…nothing...nada. Doctors, Dentists, Nurses, and other medical professionals donate their time. When the word goes out that the RAMUSA RV is coming to town people will wait in line for days to have a chance to be helped. Next time you’re sitting down waiting in your doctors or dentist office take a minute to Google them…
